How to Join the Nebraska Society

To join The Mayflower Society, applicants need to document their lineage from one of the 51 Mayflower Pilgrims with descendants. Within each generation, you must provide proof of the birth, death and marriage of the line carrier and birth and death of the spouse.

Our state Historian can guide you regarding the best practices in researching your family lineage and completing your membership application form.

To begin the membership process, complete the Preliminary Application and send it, along with a check for $220 (General Society and state application fees and first year’s dues) payable to Nebraska Society of Mayflower Descendants:

Martin W. Beerman, Historian
Nebraska Society of Mayflower Descendants
8704 Douglas St.
Omaha, NE 68114-4035

Application fees are not refundable. You will receive a worksheet for application and instructions for continuing the process toward membership in the Society.

Annual Members dues for a calendar year are $45, due Jan. 1 each year. Life memberships are not available at this time.

Dues include two issues of Pilgrim News, the newsletter of the Nebraska Society of Mayflower Descendants, and two issues of the Mayflower Quarterly, published by the General Society of Mayflower Descendants.

DO NOT send any letter or parcel requiring a signature upon delivery. These will not be claimed at the post office and will be returned to sender.
