How to Join the Nebraska Society

To join The Mayflower Society, applicants need to document their lineage from one the 51 Mayflower Pilgrims with descendants. Within each generation, you must provide proof of the birth, death and marriage of the line carrier and birth and death of the spouse.

Our state Historian can guide you regarding the best practices in researching your family lineage and completing your membership application form.

To begin the membership process, complete the Preliminary Application and send it, along with the General Society application fee of $75 (payable to GSMD) and Nebraska Society application fee of $25 (payable to Nebraska Mayflower), to:

Martin W. Beerman, Governor & Historian
Nebraska Society of Mayflower Descendants
8704 Douglas St.
Omaha, NE 68114-4035

You will receive a worksheet for application and instructions for continuing the process toward membership in the Society.

Annual dues for a calendar year are $25. Dues include two issues of Pilgrim News, the newsletter of the Nebraska Society of Mayflower Descendants, and four issues of the Mayflower Quarterly, published by the General Society of Mayflower Descendants.

DO NOT send any letter or parcel requiring a signature upon delivery. These will not be claimed at the post office and will be returned to sender.

Anyone who can document their lineage showing descent from one of the 51 Mayflower passengers who left descendants is eligible to apply for membership. These passengers left known descendants:
